As you are aware, there has not been a musical at Davenant for quite a few years now and it is so fantastic for ‘Oliver!’ to be the show to make this comeback to the wider Davenant community. We are really relying on this community to help market and sell the tickets for the show. Please could we ask that you ‘spread the word’ and advertise where you can (churches, community groups, schools, work notice boards, other notice boards). We want there to be a full house each night and appreciate all your support in helping us do this.
Please be aware that there are two working casts for the main roles. The performance will start at 7.30pm each night with the doors opening at 7.15pm.
Tickets will be on sale via: www.davenantperformingarts.org.uk. All parents of the school should have a registered ParentPay account (link from website above) but if there is anyone who doesn’t, the finance department will be able to take a payment over the phone. Tickets are £10 and £8 concessions. Please note: Due to the nature of the tiered seating and the content of the show we will only be selling tickets for children over the age of 5 years old. The seating will be unallocated and there will be an interval in the show. If you have any questions about the ticket sales please contact Mrs Pearce, the Performing Arts Administrator.
There has been a tremendous amount of effort from students and staff alike to get this show up and running. We have 2 casts, 1 full orchestra, 1 large crew and a wonderful team of Performing Arts staff. We are very pleased with the professional standard and we want to share this with the Davenant community.
Please book your tickets now to avoid disappointment. We very much look forward to seeing you and your families at the show!
Are you a recent graduate or career changer? Do you want to influence children's futures while mapping out your own?

Mrs Bird receives Jack Petchey Award for hard work and dedication
On Tuesday 5th July, Mrs Bird (our Head Librarian) was thrilled to accept a Jack Petchey Leader Award from Chief Inspector Denise Morrissey, District Police Commander for Epping Forest.
Mrs Bird, along with 9 students who had been rewarded for their good work and achievements, received the award in recognition of her dedication to promoting good reading habits across the school. She constantly engages with students and encourages their reading skills through Library lessons, and also through extra-curricular activites such as author visits and involvement in regional Book Awards.
