Christmas Message 2015

As another busy and rewarding term ends, we would like to thank everyone in the wider Davenant Community for their hard work and support in helping us to make a difference to so many young lives. The beauty of the Christmas season can remind us of all the beauty of life that we sometimes take for granted. Our family, our friends and our faith.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Library snowman has a name at last

The Arter Library's much-loved snowman now has a name, thanks to one of our Year 7 students.

Dozens of students suggested names in a competion held by the school library. The winner was Ella Coughlan from 7D, who suggested the very apt name of Snowcup.

Thank you, Ella! Now we all know what to call him, the snowman will have a much happier Christmas.

Recycled snowman brings festive feel to School Library

This week, the school Library welcomed a new face.....XX??XX the Snowman!

But shortly, he will soon have a name, thanks to a festive competition that the Arter Library is running. Students will be asked to enter the competition by suggesting an appropriate name for him, and the winning entry will be drawn on 11th December.

Created by Ms Sharp, one of the school's Learning Support Team, the snowman has been crafted out of more than 100 recycled plastic cups. The creative new addition is already a favourite among the students.
