Politics
Politics is a fascinating subject which affects all our lives. It is a subject which is constantly changing as we have seen in recent elections in both the UK and USA. We encourage students to study Politics who have lively and enquiring minds, an interest in current affairs, a desire to explore new ideas and an ability to communicate their ideas effectively. We frequently visit the Houses of Parliament and Supreme Court and enjoy welcoming visitors who are actively involved in Politics including members of the House of Commons and House of Lords. We organise mock elections, referenda and debates in order to enthuse other students in Politics. George Orwell famously said ‘In our age, there is no such thing as keeping out of politics’.
“Studying Politics is fantastic, especially at such an interesting time in both UK and US Politics. We love having debates, discussing the news and learning more about our political system. It’s great studying a subject which is really relevant to our lives today”
